Rutgers’ clearest path is to make Raymond the stabilizer: run behind Asamoah, stay ahead of the chains and use play-action to create clean throws for Duff while the quarterback order settles. On defense, Johansen’s multiple approach can move J’Dan Burnett and Malachi Davis across the front to seek disruption, but communication must remain clean. Massachusetts can control the game by tackling Raymond without surrendering leverage to Duff, forcing obvious passing situations, then protecting its own unsettled quarterback with manageable downs and sustained possessions.
