Free accounts and newsletters

When you create and confirm a free account using email and password, your verified email is used for sign-in and subscribed to the Saturday Index newsletter, as described on the signup form. The newsletter is delivered through Beehiiv, which sends the welcome email with the Season Guide link and manages unsubscribe preferences.

If you choose Google sign-in, we use the verified email address and basic profile information returned by Google to create or access your Saturday Index account. New Google accounts have a separate, optional choice to receive the newsletter and free Season Guide. That checkbox starts unchecked; leaving it unchecked does not enroll you in the newsletter. Signing in to an existing account does not change its newsletter preferences.

Your email is never displayed on Pick’em leaderboards. You can unsubscribe using the link in any newsletter email.

Pick’em and Premium

We retain your public display name, contest picks, scores, and subscription status to operate the products. Payment details are handled by the approved payment provider and are not stored by Saturday Index.

Site analytics

We use privacy-limited site analytics to count page visits and anonymous browser sessions, preserve the referring site or campaign recorded at session entry, and measure visible attention and scroll depth. We do not store email addresses, IP addresses, payment data, keystrokes, or session replays in this traffic report.

This browser exclusion also prevents Cloudflare Web Analytics and X advertising measurement from loading here. Your separate advertising choice below remains saved if you later include this browser again.

Advertising measurement

With your permission, the site loads the X Pixel and sends privacy-limited completed conversion events for account creation, a first submitted Pick’em card, and a confirmed Premium purchase. We do not send your email, password, picks, or payment details to the pixel. First-touch campaign parameters and an X click identifier may be retained for up to 30 days.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe through any newsletter email, exclude this browser from site analytics, decline or withdraw advertising measurement above, and sign out from your account page.
