Murray State at Middle Tennessee

Middle Tennessee’s cleanest route to control is to let its defensive front create long-yardage downs, keep its quarterback in manageable situations and create chances for Lacy without forcing throws. The Blue Raiders can make Murray State chase the game if Johnson and the front consistently disrupt early downs. Murray State’s route is narrower but clear: protect the ball, avoid negative plays and make Middle Tennessee sustain drives rather than surrendering explosives. If the Racers’ defensive front, linebackers and secondary can win on third down and shorten the game, their offense can operate with less pressure. Field position may matter as much as any individual matchup.
